Our GRP Header Tanks are manufactured in many sizes, with various insulation options, these tanks range in size from 45 litres up to 100,000 litres, the smaller sizes are mainly used in Lofts and Attics in Domestic property to supply the mains water to the building and accommodate the expansion of hot water from the heating system.

These One Piece Tanks are Supplied with a Bolted Lid and a Variety of Fitting options.

What does a header tank do?

A header tank is used to fill a heating system and accommodate the expansion of water caused by the heating cycle. usually the tank has an overflow pipe running to outside or to drain, a ball valve to fill the tank from the mains water supply and a outlet to the cold feed and heating system and an open vent pipe from the heating system back into the tank usually through the lid.
